We will focus today on the NH Meetings at Newbury and Ludlow. It is interesting to note the domination in past few seasons of the Henderson Yard in both Fixtures, Newbury is no surprise as he rarely travels far from his base at this stage of the season, and Ludlow would be an ideal track for his younger horses. Paul Nicholls too is in good form, unusually so for the time of year, as one very switched-on  SP2A Member pointed out last week , this is the time when many in his yard have annual ... [Read More]

The week before Christmas, bearing in mind the glut of Horse Racing Fixtures that follow from Boxing Day to New Years Day is always a fallow period and that is certainly the case today with unappealing NH at Catterick and Fakenham, AW at Southwell and a meeting in Ireland. The suggested Venettia Williams e/w double did generate a small profit with a 7/1 runner up and a 4/1 winner and certainly opens up a significant number of tipping options from that Yard in the next few weeks as clearly the ho... We had some more joy with the Collateral P2P form angle yesterday with AINT MY FAULT tipped at 12-14/1 yesterday morning giving the Odds On favourite Earlofthecotswolds plenty to think about in going down by less than 2 lengths in the 12.20 at Carlisle. It is vital to be backing these each way and Ian thinks he has found another likely race of its type today. We also have a small suggested e/w double on a pair of Venetia Williams runners making very quick returns to the track in the mud at Ffos ... [Read More]

A lot of rain and wind and in places sleet and snow forecast today, you could say a "proper winters day" and about time we had one of those! We have ELITE SERVICE tips from David covering 2 races at Cheltenham. We have a Daily Tips analysis and tips on the opener at Hereford and some more from the DARK HORSE Trial.  [Read More]

WE have National Hunt Racing today at Cheltenham; Doncaster and Bangor On Dee and AW at Kempton and Dundalk.A miserly 30 runners in 7 races at Doncaster is either a massive wake up call for the Sport in general or attributable tot he still un-seasonally "Good" Going or a combination of both, either way it is somewhat depressing. The Bangor Card is hardly packed with quantity or quality, so we will focus on Cheltenham. The fields there are not massive and a few races have VERY tight Betting marke... [Read More]

We have received an intriguing suggestion this morning from a relatively new member named Tim, he has made a suggestion about the use of the tips box to better highlight "danger horses" that can be far down the page in the analysis, but which are providing some with winners even though not tips per se. We will trial this idea using the Tips box over the next few days and then seek feedback from all Members. Bif thank you to Tim for some very interesting feedback and constructive ideas to improve... There is NH Racing at Hexham and Leicester today, the latter suffering sadly familiar small fields, plus AW at Kempton and Lingfield. The tip finished 4th yesterday just out of the places but the horse named in the reverse forecast was back in from a similar price as the tip (around 15/2) in to 3/1 and just grabbed the win on the line. The frustration on picking the wrong one out of a final pair or three continues in that respect, although clearly not much wrong with the analysis. We have a long-s... [Read More]

There is NH Racing today at Fontwell and Uttoxeter and a competitive AW Card at Southwell. We have a selection in the 2.30 at Uttoxeter from Placespotter. We had a decent enough run yesterday from ARTHURS SECRET advised at 6/1 it was backed in to 4/1 with a lot of money coming around 9.30-10am for it, again I think tipped elsewhere. It ran as it always does with great credit and consistency and again found one just too good on the day. The horse deserves a win and I sometimes think with these type... [Read More]

There is NH at Lingfield (Heavy) and Musselburgh (Good) today and AW at Wolverhampton.Nothing outstanding; but Robin has one for a small bet at Musselburgh and some news of an SP2A RACING CLUB acquisition.A decent enough runner up place for Eaton Miller yesterday advised at 14/1. The big frustration was the fall of LOOKING WELL in the Borders National. It had jumped superbly all the way, looked easily the most likely winner and still cruising when falling 3 out, would it have won??, we'll never ... [Read More]

The 4 mile Borders Handicap Chase is a "must attack" race today, especially as the 2017 renewal was lost to bad weather, it is usually a slog in the mud, Good to Soft today; likely to ride genuinely "soft" I would say so no excuses for anyone but a few "out and out veteran plodders" may find the pace a bit too lively. We have selections and analysis from PLACESPOTTER and also a Mention at Huntingdon. We started off with POP ROCKSTAR a runner up yesterday for the Daily Tips, backed in from 9/1 to a... We will hope to avoid the plague of the "low sun" today that severely impacted on one specific tipping race yesterday at Exeter with 8 fences omitted. That rather new phenomenon seems to impact far more on 2-3 specific tracks where the finishing line is due West, thankfully no similar issues anticipated today. What a fantastic afternoon of National Hunt Racing in store, we covered off Aintree with ELITE SERVICE tips and analysis from David earlier, that allows us to look at some cracking races at... Good MorningWe have National Hunt action today at Exeter; Sandown and Sedgefield and AW action at Kempton and Dundalk. We will focus mainly on the Card at Exeter, soft Going and some early morning rain about, likely to be soft at best and heavy in patches and a few angles to explore on that basis. We will also cover one race at Sandown Park.Selections are from Robin and Placespotter at Exeter and we have Mentions there and at Sandown, with 4 races in total covered. We had a nice winner with OUR M... There is National Hunt action today at Leicester, Market Rasen and Wincanton, all right handed tracks and all likely to have rain showers and Going a bit softer than advertised. There is also AW at Chelmsford and an Irish Card at Clonmel. We had no joy in a sole attempt over the Jumps yesterday but the other runner WHINGING WILLIE ran a gallant race, just beaten in a tight finish and advised each way at 9/1 yesterday morning. The Tipsters tell me that there are some competitive races today; some s... There is National Hunt Racing today at Haydock and Ludlow + AW at Lingfield, Newcastle and Kempton. A lot of heavy rain up in the Haydock area leads us to a long shot there who may relish conditions and we have an old favourite to follow down at Kempton on the AW.After 2 non tipping days we will ease ourselves back in today as later in the week and the weekend offer a whole host of decent opportunities. Good MorningPlease Note - THE OFFICE IS CLOSED TODAY!No Tips today but some news items below. There are a couple of moderate NH Cards today with fairly small fields in general and very little that stands out as value. There is also a "twilight AW" Fixture at Wolverhampton. We did have a look at a few races especially the 3 mile Chase at Plumpton at 2.30, where one of last years hero's for us SONOFTHEKING a 22/1 winner at Exeter for us last November makes seasonal debut. There is NH action at Carlisle; Leicester and Fairyhouse today. There are small fields (including a walk-over at Leicester) and nothing of note at Fairyhouse, but a series of competitive races in the mud at Carlisle whet the appetite and that's before we even consider a few old favourites who have been stellar performers for us over the past 2 NH seasons. We have selections today from Robin, The Advisor and Placespotter and a speculative ex P2P horse is a Mention Tip. This is one of the most eagerly awaited Saturday's of the pre-Christmas National Hunt Autumn programme with the headline Fixture at Newbury backed up by top class action at Doncaster and Newcastle; a decent Irish NH Card and always competitive Bangor, there is also AW action for AW aficionados in there somewhere.Whilst field sizes are a little below normal, and subject of hot Industry Press debate all week, there is no denying the quality. One aspect of Race Analysis and Tipping that can be... The Cards on this corresponding day at Doncaster and Newbury are often eagerly awaited (as are the Saturday ones) but whilst they are decent this year, there are a shocking lack of runners in some races that have decent value. It is not fair either for Trainers to blame the weather of Going in my humble opinion, as It is no firmer than Good to Soft, Soft in Places. Whilst some horses may be short of a bit of work you'd think the overall quantity would match the obvious quality. Worrying times fo... [Read More]

There is National Hunt Racing today at Ayr; Taunton; Thurles and Warwick and AW at Kempton and Chelmsford. There are noticeably bigger and more competitive fields at all three NH meetings in the UK as the ground softens and some more storms due to further facilitate "proper winter jumping ground". The Taunton Card on "Good Going" though does still consist mainly of "summer jumping types" so we will give that a miss and focus on a race at Warwick and a couple at Ayr.We have tips and analysis... We have National Hunt action at Hereford, Wetherby and Punchestown today and two AW Fixtures. There are a smattering of competitive NH Races, all Going is reported to be Good to Soft but plenty of incessant if light rain about. A lot of horses making seasonal returns, which takes a leap of fait, and some who due to slow start to season due to firm Going, are having runs very soon after last ones, but we have to dive in to the season at some point and stick by our beliefs and we have a few angles ... There is National Hunt Racing today at Lingfield and Sedgefield. The older age Handicaps are all pretty small fields, and a shame that what could be a decent low Grade Handicap at Sedgefield is split in to 2 Divisions of 10 horses, which rather negates the value. Personally; I'd rather see a good 16-18 runner maximum field o such occasions, better punting mediums; but I do appreciate (especially this season with unusually firm Going) the need to get horses some track time. All things considered, ... Good MorningWe have National Hunt at Exeter and Uttoxeter today, and a big Card at Navan. Whilst there has been 24 hours of incessant and heavy rain down in Torbay, you can never be 100% sure regarding Exeter as Haldon Hill can create a micro climate all of its own, but I think safe to assume there wont be any "Good" in the Going description at Exeter today and if they have had the rain there that we've had 30 miles down the road, will likely be some "heavy" in the Going. There are some good and ... There is racing today at Ascot; Catterick and Ffos Llas over the sticks and at Kempton and Dundalk on the AW. Once again moderate sized fields dominate and a significant number of "summer jumpers" are still on the go, indicating the crazy second half of this year in terms of lack of rain. We have studied 4 of the total daily diet in great detail and have arrived at one that we are happy with at a very sporting price, and a few worthy of referring to you if you wish to play in your accumulators (... There is NH Racing today at Market Rasen and Wincanton in the UK and at Thurles in Ireland and a couple of AW Meetings. The Good or Good to Firm Going has restricted runners at all venues, and frankly there isn't much to enthuse over. We looked at the opener at Wincanton but it is distinctly moderate, (you know it is when you are considering a horse like Karl Marx - but he goes off a cliff when on a mark over 80, best to wait for him to come back to around 76-77 mark where he can provide some fu... On a day when there are very small fields at Fakenham and dire AW at Lingfield, this Class 4 3mile Hurdle at Southwell (far from our favourite NH track) does stand out like a sore thumb. A number of decent Bookies go Odds to 4th place, so worth a look and the deeper you look, it's not a bad little race of its kind.We saw yesterday with the majority of races being won by market leaders; and the 2 selections getting no where near, that in "seeking value" you can end up with egg on your face, but i...
