We will review the results from Saturday on Monday and have one Mention selection from CORK tomorrow.A nice advised 22/1 win for FOOLAND and an enhanced 4th place for ALL MY LOVE AT 16/1, not such a good day as recently for The Elite Tips as of late, on a tough afternoon at Ascot. We have selections at Cork today, mailed out late on Saturday evening and now online in the Members Paddock. The Office will be CLOSED on Sunday 21st October - re-opens Monday at 7.00am [Read More]

We have Flat Racing's big Showpiece Day today at Ascot; there are decent Cards too at Catterick; we have some pretty low key NH today at Ffos Llas, Market Rasen and Stratford, the latter two are closing their "summer jumping" seasons and we await the entry of the real winter horses over the Jumps in the next few weeks. There is also the usual AW and some Irish Racing too.We have Elite tips and some outstanding analysis from David in the 2.00 and 4.30 races at Ascot. We also have some Tips and big... [Read More]

There is some better class racing today than of late with Flat Turf at Haydock and Redcar; NH at Fakenham and Wincanton and AW at Newcastle and Dundalk.Robin did look long at the 2.55 at Wincanton but comments "hard to decide between the form of the summer jumpers and the returning winter brigade here, where fitness of some and fatigue of others has to be taken on trust, I did look at Aunty Ann and Sporting Boy but feel a returning winter specialist more likely at shorter odds, so no bet"We have... There are some very moderate meetings today in terms of quality, no lack of quantity, but very tricky to find anything with confidence. There is Turf Flat Racing at Brighton, AW at Chelmsford and Wolverhampton, NH at Carlisle and Uttoxeter and Irish action too.We have ONE Mention tip and a few other pointers but really waiting for some better racing tomorrow and Saturday. A quick update re Saturday, Ian IS AVAILABLE this week on Saturday morning, so ELITE and DAILY tips for Saturday 20th October ... [Read More]

Good MorningThere is racing today at Bath and Nottingham on grass (Flat); at Wetherby over the Jumps and on AW at Newcastle plus a meeting in Ireland. It is a typically moderate end of Flat season day and frankly disappointingly small fields to at Wetherby, so we will remain prudent with 3 mentions with TRACKER horses. We have 2 selections at Bath and one on the AW at Newcastle.    [Read More]

We started yesterday with a very nice winner with GABRIEL THE TIGER winning at 11/1 as advised, that was the sum total of the success though and although ensuring a small profit on the day, was a bit frustrating in the end. The loss of the meeting at Windsor robbed us of a confident tip (as opposed to mention) and we came very close to Sheilas Treat (who won the 4.30 at Yarmouth) but picked the wrong pair instead there in Spinart and Suzis Connoisseur. So a feeling that we could have had a bette... [Read More]

There is racing today at Musselburgh; Yarmouth; Kempton AW and a Card at Gowran Park in Ireland. It is very poor quality, end of Flat season racing, so "mentions only" as the planned tips race was at the abandoned Windsor Fixture, a shame as Michael had identified some excellent Soft/Heavy form.We have selections in 2 races at Yarmouth and one at MusselburghWe will update results records for Friday and Saturday by 10.00am and we will try again tomorrow with Flat at a likely soft Leicester and NH... A wild and wet day in parts of the UK and a lot of rain is forecast at York, we will try to solve the puzzle of 2 big field handicaps there. The meeting at Newmarket is dominated by top quality 2 year old races, one for the purists and there is also NH at Newton Abbot and AW at Wolverhampton and some Irish action. It is the last meeting of the season at Newton Abbot, and mostly "summer jumpers" so we will wait for the mud-lovers at Chepstow tomorrow. Tips and analysis on the 4.25 and 5.35 ra... [Read More]

Good MorningThere is racing at Ayr on the Flat today; Chelmsford has an AW meeting and National Hunt is at Worcester, and Bangor On Dee, which replaces an abandoned Fixture at Exeter, called off due to the firm Going. There is moderate racing everywhere, a few we liked at Worcester, but not with great confidence, so we will have a bash on a couple at nice Odds at Ayr, which Michael thinks are over-priced in a race with enhanced places.A disappointing and frustrating day yesterday when early pace... There is Turf Flat action at Nottingham today, a competitive trio of maximum field Handicaps close a Card that focuses initially on 2 year old races. There is AW at Kempton this evening and National Hunt at Ludlow, who stage their first meeting of the winter, the ground has limited entries there, and also at Southwell,  finally we have Irish action at Cork.We will focus on the Handicaps at Nottingham; once again Michael will be in the chair and we will continue to class these as "Mentions" ... Good MorningWe have action today at Brighton, Catterick; Leicester; Newcastle (AW) and Galway. It is all low grade and after a decent day yesterday with some nicely priced placed horses, Michael will again suggest some "mentions" at nice prices. The angle we will attack today is the strong belief that the Going at Brighton is a lot softer than the advertised Good to Firm. Ian spent most of Saturday in the area; and reports very heavy rainfall especially in the Brighton area. We have therefore go... [Read More]

There is very moderate racing today at Pontefract; Windsor; Stratford (Jumps); Kempton (AW) and Tipperary. We have identified a few competitive low-grade Handicaps, where soft ground / draw bias, provides some small punting opportunities, but to lowest 'mention" stakes. There is better racing scheduled for Newmarket and York later on in the week and some nice NH meetings at Ludlow; Exeter and Chepstow too for Robin and The Advisor to consider. The "mentions" today come from Michael. I had a few ma... [Read More]

The major meeting today is on the Flat at Ascot; we have jumping at Hexham and Fontwell Park, AW at Wolverhampton and Irish action too.We have 2 selected races from Ascot ; one from Hexham and a small mention at Wolverhampton. No joy with the speculative mentions yesterday but WHINGING WILLIE ran on noticeably well and late, nearest at the finish, just missing a place and that's it's best run in a fair while, and with that Yard, quite likely to be being primed for something soon you feel, especia... Good MorningThere are 2 NH Fixtures today with Warwick and Huntingdon both suffering from mainly small fields on Going perhaps a bit too firm for many winter NH types. There are 2 pretty awful AW Fixtures too at Chelmsford and Lingfield and a meeting in Ireland. There is one 15 runner handicap hurdle at Huntingdon and an old favourite, trying a new trip at Lingfield but both are more speculative so "mention tips".  There is some early market value, so no point hanging around so I have sent m... Good MorningThere is Flat Racing at Nottingham and Salisbury today a host of 2 year old races and some big field series Finals and a lot of tired horses who have been running all season in those Finals. There is NH at Bangor and AW at Newcastle and a Flat Irish Fixture at Cork.We looked at Nottingham and Salisbury but the field and competitive handicaps at Nottingham look just too tricky and too many tired horses to bet with confidence, and draw issues at Salisbury; we'd normally look low, but a... It was nice to have a winner at Newton Abbott yesterday, more of that later. We have Flat Racing at Ayr today and AW at Kempton and the NH Fixtures are at Southwell and Sedgefield. I have to say, nothing like the confidence or punting options in the NH races today, as we had yesterday, so in terms of tips we will leave NH alone for today and return to it later in the week. There is some competitive if mostly moderate Flat action at Ayr, so we will have a small punt there under the "Mentions" cat... [Read More]

There is moderate Flat action today at Bath and Catterick and AW at Kempton, we will cover a couple of those meetings with some "proofing tips" that will be in The Members Paddock. The "proofing tips" have thrown up a few nice winners, a lot of placed horses, and seem to be in infinitely better nick, than those Flat Tipsters they are primed to replace; so we will start to integrate 2-3 of them on to the panel this week to replace 3 who are leaving. The NH meeting at Newton Abbot; which time permi... A truly awful day yesterday with only Lillian (4th) running with any kind of merit. The run of Kupa River was inexplicably bad and can only be logically explained by a breathing or injury problem, we will track that horse though as it is far better than that. Lofgren and Henri Parri Morgan too; were bitterly disappointing. The majority of Racing today is moderate, but there is one at Perth that Robin is very keen to follow; and one at Redcar, that I think is outstanding each way value, purely in ... Good MorningWe have some typical low grade end of season Flat fare at Hamilton and Leicester today and AW fare at Kempton and Newcastle, plus a Flat Irish Card. The Tracker is lit up with moderate Class 5/6 performers who have caught the eye over the season, but frankly, very little stands anything like close scrutiny when you look at conditions today. The likes of Geoff Potts and Someone Exciting in the 2.00 at Hamilton and Little Pippin and Jack Blaine in the 3.00 at the same venue, might make ... Good MorningAs I did not have to set off on a long trip over to Eastbourne yesterday due to torrential rain, I was able to contact a couple of our NH experts, who were only too pleased to have a chance to "flex their muscles" on competitive looking NH Cards at Plumpton and Uttoxeter. I know there has been heavy rain down in Sussex and I'm advised by neighbours that there has been a fair bit up in Staffordshire too, so we take the view that Going at both venues will be substantially softer than a... We have racing today at Beverley; Sandown and Yarmouth on the Flat, as Kelso over the sticks and at Naas in Ireland. One feature of today, and an increasing trend is to see 2 Divisions of the same race with 10/11 runners. Whilst I understand that there may be 20 entries for a race where the maximum field is 16 or 18 (due to the dreaded health and safety) may be better in my humble opinion, to do what they do in Ireland and have a cracking 16-18 runner race and 3 reserves??.
