Friday 14th December

WE have National Hunt Racing today at Cheltenham; Doncaster and Bangor On Dee and AW at Kempton and Dundalk.

A miserly 30 runners in 7 races at Doncaster is either a massive wake up call for the Sport in general or attributable tot he still un-seasonally "Good" Going or a combination of both, either way it is somewhat depressing. The Bangor Card is hardly packed with quantity or quality, so we will focus on Cheltenham. The fields there are not massive and a few races have VERY tight Betting markets but we feel we have found one race with ONE exceptional form line based on the market, and a few other pointers.

I have a niggling concern about "low sun" and fences being taken out in the Chase at 2.30 having checked the weather forecast so we will focus on the 3.40 with a passing look at the 1.20 and 1.55 races and the 2.30 Chase.

Detailed analysis and 3 selections in the 3.40 from Placespotter looking for a nice Net Profit from the Race with many Bookies going "odds to 4th place". There is also a suggested each way double.

We will have ELITE SERVICE back in the morning around 7am and Daily Tips at around 9am, hopefully expected rain will fall and keep decent fields sizes for all the Jumps meetings.

I thought MARCH IS ON was a shade unlucky yesterday; granted a couple fell 2 out but neither of those had proven form at the trip and despite going well both looked as if fatigue was setting in wit the way they jumped that decisive fence, MARCH IS ON was somewhat hampered in that incident and lost enough momentum to make you think he could have won but for it. Clearly a horse who will just gallop and not really any change of gear there, but the best form since his P2P days for sure and in that regard and considering the widely available 12/1 in the morning, a sure sign that the trusted collateral P2P form angle is alive and kicking. As we get more races conducive to that form angle over extended trips over Hurdles and Fences, we will increasingly look for opportunities with it.
