Friday 29th June

There are Flat Turf meetings at Chester; Doncaster; Newmarket and Yarmouth today, a National Hunt Card at Cartmel; Irish action at The Curragh and an AW Card at Newcastle tonight, being covered by ITV4. With smallish fields on the Turf, and no great appetite for us to look at NH despite some nice field sizes, we will have a couple at Newcastle and look at two of the more competitive races on the Turf, one at Doncaster and one at Chester. It is interesting but not surprising to note that almost half of the races due to be staged tomorrow, were re-opened for new entries, due to low field sizes, as the hot baking weather/ground and the ridiculously high number of Fixtures, starts to take a toll on horses and all connected.

The horse yesterday just about "broke even" with GLOBAL WONDER and CONSTANTINO both placing and the other pair who both just missed a place both probably ran with even more credit than the placed horses, SNOOKERED did everything you could ask and was a shade unlucky and MESHERDAL would I think have won the race if drawn higher and was desperately unlucky th be pipped for the 3rd place that even RUK thought he had got and eulogised over for 3-4 minutes before realising he was 4th. I always believe each day is a kind of "Guerilla Raid" against the Bookies and whilst we always want to win, getting out "break even" on days you can't win, is as much a Bank Builder as winning days, in the long term,,,"if you can't win, don't lose"

That's all for today, thanks for the feedback about the News and Plans outlined yesterday and more feedback is always welcome.

A busy day for us tomorrow, Elite + Daily Tips (will be sent separately) by no later than 9.30am in the morning; the free Speedway Tips and Analysis will be on the website (no need to log in) from early tomorrow morning for the GP Round in Horsens Denmark. The Office will close tomorrow at around 11am as I have to scoot off down to Eastbourne and any Sunday tips will be mailed out at about 11am on Sunday morning.
