Friday 30th November

The Cards on this corresponding day at Doncaster and Newbury are often eagerly awaited (as are the Saturday ones) but whilst they are decent this year, there are a shocking lack of runners in some races that have decent value. It is not fair either for Trainers to blame the weather of Going in my humble opinion, as It is no firmer than Good to Soft, Soft in Places. Whilst some horses may be short of a bit of work you'd think the overall quantity would match the obvious quality. Worrying times for National Hunt IF Cheltenham and the other big Spring Festivals become "so big" that they begin at impact negatively on the Autumn programme. Strange times for NH Racing at the moment.

There are also NH meetings at Thurles in Ireland and the usual AW fillers at Dundalk, Newcastle and Southwell.

We looked closely at 5 races, of which 3 were Novice/Maiden Races; and after deliberating long and hard will stick with just the one TIP today, no Mentions, but a few pointers in the races for the less experienced Novices to keep an eye on.

The sole selection, with analysis of the race; comes from ROBIN in the 3.35 at Newbury.

In the 12.10 at Newbury a 20 runner Maiden where the market leaders look set to dominate, STRONG GLANCE may be a little bit of value to start the day, in the 1.20 it again looks set to be a race dominated by market leaders and of the top 3-4 ECLAIR D'ANAY could be again the one who is a little bit of value. At Doncaster in the 1.10 again there seems to be a little lack of depth but DUBH DES CHAMPS who showed some promise last time out may improve for that run and in the 12.00 there are a host of nice Point 2 Point types and it may be turn out to be a Race to Follow in terms of churning out winners as opposed to any of a number of potentially decent P2P types.

I will have a few quid each way in a roll up on the 3 named horses in capitals - just a fun punt not proofed - on a frustrating day in terms of clear opportunities.

After a very quiet start to the week in terms of betting options with no tip on Monday and one on Tuesday another disappointing set of Cards overall. CARRIGMOORNA MATT ran in to an enhanced place in the only tip race yesterday but the 2 Mentions disappointed at Ayr.

We will have ELITE and DAILY selections tomorrow with ELITE out separately at around 8am and DAILY out later at around 9.15am
