There are a couple of moderate NH Cards today with fairly small fields in general and very little that stands out as value. There is also a "twilight AW" Fixture at Wolverhampton.

We did have a look at a few races especially the 3 mile Chase at Plumpton at 2.30, where one of last years hero's for us SONOFTHEKING a 22/1 winner at Exeter for us last November makes seasonal debut. The horse needed first race back in 2017 but was previously competitive fresh, it is more the handicap mark (a bit high) and the fact best runs are invariably right handed, that just put us off today, but one we will definitely track after this race.

We had 3 nice placed runners yesterday to follow on from 2 similar ones on Saturday with Princess Mononoke 3rd at 16/1; Letemgo 3rd at 16/1 and Pistol 4th (suggested enhanced place) at 14/1 and the Mention Aint My Fault, was also 4th (missing a place as only 1-3) but a good run at 16/1 and one to definitely track and follow, will be winning a Novice Hurdle over a fair trip before very long.

There is a danger that when you seek big priced value that you find it and get a lot of big priced placed runners, but only needs a few to "drop" and the big wins boost profits and the each way places, especially the enhanced one, add small each way value to the pot. That's the tried and trusted method that has bought us most success, "if you can't win don't lose" logic, and after a small profit in October, a small profit again in November and as soon as we get some more competitive Racing, time to up the stakes to full 1 point levels as the last few weeks have delivered some nice winners but more importantly, those places to breed confidence.
