Saturday 28th July

We finally got the rain we have desperately needed, albeit, very heavy in places, none in others and even in local areas very random. There is a much heavier belt coming in tomorrow, and hopefully that will affect all areas where racing is due next week and take all of the sting out of the ground and with much less intense heat, we can get back to some form on normality, for the first time since mid June, we certainly have much to look forwards to in the next 10 days and beyond, we can't do anything about the past but can impact significantly on the future.

Racing today at Ascot, Chester; Lingfield; Newcastle; Newmarket; Salisbury and York remains a complete lottery in my humble opinion, we simply can't know what the actual Going is at any venue until we see racing, and there is more rain and thunder about, so best to be prudent and wait one or two more days. We have planned ELITE TIPS from David, who has analysed with a Plan A (Firm); Plan B (Good) and Plan C (Soft) mentaility and logic, and we have waited as late as we can, for him to check and validate which option seems most likely. For the DAILY TIPS I will attack one race at Ascot with the mindset that the rattle will have gone from the ground and it will be closer to Good than we have seen in a fair while.

We have ELITE SERVICE tips from DAVID today with tips in the big field Handicaps at Ascot and York, and the Mentions; will  have a poke at a couple at double figure Odds in the 3 year old Ascot Handicap at 2.25.

Back tomorrow at around 10.30am
