Saturday 30th June

It is not often in 7 years + that I have had to issuea sincere apology for an abjectly poor day with a complete "wipeout". Thankfully; they are very few and far between. I don't believe in running from the truth and can only apologise for a terrible day. I won't make excuses, there may be reasons, but they are excuses, so we will have to dust ourselves down and move on and make up the deficit. The month overall, thanks to an excellent spell before Royal Ascot for the Daily tips has been decent and we start today with our new Elite Provider David, with Michael commencing his Daily Showcase tips from Monday (suitable races permitting).

There is one aspect affecting current form that does perplex me and that is the undeniable fact, backed up by my own analysis that historically, we do not do well when we get very hot spells and Firm Going. I don't know if it is psychological; a problem with form analysis or just an inexplicable blip, but we will do some more digging and get to the root of the problem. The paradox is that is contrasts totally with out Wet Weather; Soft and Heavy Form on The Flat and over Jumps; which is outstanding, indeed our ROI to SP on Heavy Going summer and winter exceeds 50% and that's just crazy. So we need to find the mirror image and implement it, and we will not fail for the lack of effort; I can assure you.

There are no less than 8 meetings today but a frightening number of those races have 8 or less runners and therefore limited value, (as David points out in his Elite write up), so for today we will stick with two TOP AW races and have a look again tomorrow, with the Sunday Daily Tips out at around 11am.

ELITE SERVICE tips from David at Newcastle are available for Members now and e-mailed out at around 8.00am
