Thursday 11th October

Good Morning

There is racing at Ayr on the Flat today; Chelmsford has an AW meeting and National Hunt is at Worcester, and Bangor On Dee, which replaces an abandoned Fixture at Exeter, called off due to the firm Going. There is moderate racing everywhere, a few we liked at Worcester, but not with great confidence, so we will have a bash on a couple at nice Odds at Ayr, which Michael thinks are over-priced in a race with enhanced places.

A disappointing and frustrating day yesterday when early pace was the key, a bit like mid summer; so we won't dwell on that. HARLEQUIN STRIKER ran a strong race for a place and did MICHELE STROGNOF and it was very annoying to miss both Shabbah and Lunar Jet in that race, 12/1 winner and 14/1 place, who had been identified as main dangers in a field of 16, so very close to a jackpot, but oh so far. In the final selected race, neither tip got in any kind of blow, but as predicted Misu Pete did run well from the front.

There are meetings at Newmarket and York tomorrow and some high quality action, so we will be back at around 8.30am. An early "heads up" on Saturday. Ian (who has been sending out Elite tips on a Friday Evening) has to be in Mildenhall on Friday Evening and then Eastbourne on Saturday; so for this week only, I will step in and send ELITE TIPS (from David) out, most likely time is very early on Saturday morning, and they will also be in The Members Paddock by 7am on Saturday morning; Sunday tips will be sent around 10.30am on a Sunday as usual.
