Thursday 13th September

Good Morning

There is Flat action at Doncaster, Hamilton; Ffos Llas and Irish action at Listowel, where the winner yesterday bodes well for both the proper NH yet to come and also the Irish NH action we plan to focus more on than ever before, as results over there have improved year on year as expertise has strengthened, especially in the lower Grade meetings.

The scheduled Fixture at Epsom and the schedule Fixture at Chepstow both abandoned, due to various issues, with Ffos Llas taking the Chepstow Fixture a while back.

The Doncaster Card is dominated by 2 year old races and with the unusually hot summer it is harder than ever to work out at what stages some horses are, usually by now we would have horses with 2-3 runs on a variety of ground and some unexposed types. The heat of the summer will have held some back in terms of track time, but possibly they may be further forwards in strength as there is nothing better than some warmth for that, whereas, very few have form yet on anything with a bit of cut in it. Reluctantly therefore we will leave the 2.25 and 3.35 alone today as just too many imponderables.

We will have a look though at the 1.50 at Doncaster a possibly easier 2 yo puzzle, the big girls Handicap at 4.05 and also a race and runner at Hamilton where we feel the jockey booking and horse are perfectly matched.

We have selections from The Professor and Placespotter at Doncaster and Michael at Hamilton.

The Office will be CLOSED after 8.30am today due to family related appointments and Hospital visits.
