Tuesday 12th June

Good Morning

If yesterday was bereft of each way value in the main, tomorrow looks the same; today is chock full of big field handicap races with enhanced places and good each way betting opportunities. It is mainly low grade stuff, but enough of interest for us to "push the boat" out a bit, using up some stakes saved from quiet days on Sunday and Monday and important to use the "odds to 4th place" options to optimise profit chances and to back each way.

We have TIPS from The Professor at Salisbury and Michael Shuker at Thirsk and a number of mentions in enhanced place races at Salisbury and Thirsk and also in a decent race tonight at Southwell.

Dotties Dilemna was very disappointing really at Worcester yesterday. It breezed round, looked all over the winner, on the bit 3 out; made a slight jumping error but should still have won, and was simply out-battled by a horse that wanted it more, after the last. If you did take the each way option, a few bob was scant consolation. The Yard had a winner earlier on the Card and so did the Chris Down and James Davies combination in the opener at decent odds, a shame therefore that Culm Counsellor was a non runner (declared mid morning) in that 5.15 race, as I really fancied it to run a big race.

You can spend all the available time trying to find winners and nice placed horses, but, if in the cold light of day, they meekly throw in the towel, get out-battled, not a lot you can do, and I'm sure the Yard would have wanted and expected to have won and 9/2 would have been a little bit of value.

That's all for today, back tomorrow at around 8.30am and we will also be outlining plans for the weekend and more importantly ROYAL ASCOT.
