Tuesday 2nd October

It was nice to have a winner at Newton Abbott yesterday, more of that later. We have Flat Racing at Ayr today and AW at Kempton and the NH Fixtures are at Southwell and Sedgefield. I have to say, nothing like the confidence or punting options in the NH races today, as we had yesterday, so in terms of tips we will leave NH alone for today and return to it later in the week. There is some competitive if mostly moderate Flat action at Ayr, so we will have a small punt there under the "Mentions" category. So; whilst we are back to full 1 point each way stakes over the Jumps, on the Flat; especially at early in the week Fixtures, we will be sensible and stake accordingly.

THE ADVISOR was a mainstay for us last winter, out-performed only by Robin Taylor; with myself as Placespotter not far behind, we all hot 20% + ROI to SP between October and March and The Advisor and Robin will focus on NH now and I will be back at some point when it gets knee deep in mud and we can attack the Point 2 Point angles and long Distance Chase angles that delivered huge profits last winter. The Advisor struck first in his friendly battle with Robin with SCORPION STAR winning at 7/1 SP having been widely available at 11/1 a advised and for those who followed the enhanced place Odds, Robin had a 4th place, which paid a place with several Tipsters with Glanvilles Guest. They will be back each time we have an NH meeting with something they feel confident to attack, and the availability of such NH Fixtures will start to increase now day by day, with many of the winter NH Tracks, starting up their seasons.

That's about all for today, other than to say that from tomorrow (on all weekdays) your Daily e-mail will be sent by our new Administrator, the Tipster logic will as always be written by the Tipsters, she may have a slightly different and more modern (less woffle style) than myself, but she is chomping at the bit to get started and she will be in the chair from tomorrow, with me in the background doing other vital SP2A Horse Racing related tasks; including launching The Racing Club and introducing Sarah to you all.

To facilitate some other changes, the WINTER Office Hours will now apply; so the core Hours Monday to Friday will be 7.00am to around 10.30am and then 4pm to 5.30pm and the Office WILL be manned on Saturday's from around 8am to 10.30am by Carole during October and by myself from early November, and Sunday tipping will return in early November, once my Speedway commitments on a Saturday at Eastbourne are over; and just in time for those cracking Irish NH Sunday Fixtures we tend to excel in.

More tomorrow and tomorrow also after the Daily Tips e-mail - a Results Round Up for September.
