There is Turf Flat action at Nottingham today, a competitive trio of maximum field Handicaps close a Card that focuses initially on 2 year old races. There is AW at Kempton this evening and National Hunt at Ludlow, who stage their first meeting of the winter, the ground has limited entries there, and also at Southwell, finally we have Irish action at Cork.
We will focus on the Handicaps at Nottingham; once again Michael will be in the chair and we will continue to class these as "Mentions" with reduced stakes, at this time of the Racing calendar on the Flat especially.
It was good to get the big priced winner we have been close to a number of times in the past few weeks, the big priced place horses were totting up and to follow a nice winner on Saturday SOARING SPIRITS made just about all to win at Brighton. They kept saying the ground was firm there, it looked very wet up at the top of the Course and probably that and the pace / early lead angle ensured a win at 25/1 (advised at 14/1). Miss Inga Sock could not follow up with a win or a place in the next race, but I think we'd take a 25/1 winner every day and not get greedy.
The form has been returning after a terrible mid summer and we are confident that we can have an excellent end to the year, historically October; November and December are very strong months for SP2A.
A lot of Members who are on 3 and 6 month plans will be due to expire in the next few days; the 10th is a date when many do so as we gave 10 free days on various plans in the past. We are finalising various offers using the PGS - Performance Guarantee Scheme, this kicks in if we have 3 losing months (not necessarily 3 successive losing months but if there is a net loss over any rolling 3 month period) it will be applied at next renewal to all subscribers, whenever that is and covers - July (loss); August and September (loss).
