We had a bit of a blip yesterday with 2 unplaced efforts and a non runner; we also

had a few issues with the website as some of the "Tipster and News Blogs" are either not

showing or tha pages are not available, when you click them. It is an issued related to us

increasing our server capacity and will be fixed later on today - so my apologies for any

inconvenience that may have caused you.

All of the racing world will have eyes on Paris today, the Arc De Triomphe is always a

great race, often brutal, and not always the case that the best horse wins, often the most

"street wise" and of course it is being run this year at Chantilly, as Longchamp is being

totally refurbished, not did-similar to when Royal Ascot was run at York just under a decade

ago, when Ascot was refurbished over an 18 month period. It renders a lot of the "Arc Trends"

that are being peddled by some so-called Tipsters and Experts totally irrelevant, and frankly;

given my complete lack of knowledge of French Racing and a pretty much similar answer

from our Tipsters when I asked them, one we will leave alone!

I think it is best to know your limitations and to stick to what you feel comfortable with!

There are 4 UK/Irish meetings today with Huntingdon; Kelso; Uttoxeter and Tipperary

staging National Hunt Racing; some small fields and some moderate racing and I believe;

just a little too early in the "proper NH" season to dive in too much. The summer NH

jumpers have now had their ground, it will turn softer as the days pass and the winter

Jumpers will come out. We will see a 3-4 week period where summer jumpers who can

handle some cut in the ground may do well through a fitness advantage, but we will

select carefully in the next few weeks over the jumps and look for "in form yards"

that have hit the ground running, this year, and in the past.

So, we will have a small unit Lucky 15 today on these to "tick over" until tomorrow.

Hopefully I can keep my blood pressure in check watching The Ryder Cup; I love

watching any Sport at the highest level, I always applaud a winner and commiserate

with a "proper loser" but sometimes you see things that make your blood boil and

the behaviour of around 25% of the American crowd is well....I would probably be

locked up for saying what I really think about them, lets leave it at that and I just

hope another miracle last day can wipe the smirks off their fat faces!

You should always lose with dignity, sometimes you need to learn how to win with dignity.
