Placespotter 3.45 11 Get Knotted at 8/1  / 13 Hoofalong both e/w at 20/1 (odds to 4th)

I have put my Placespotter hat on again after a bit of a break, largely as I was
focussing so much time on The Holy Grail Project. That is now launched and
although there is a lot to do still, there is now a full time Manager and a couple
of able assistants lined up to run that project, and that will allow me the time
to give full time tipping the time, scope and brain space it needs.
I was going to put the 3.45 at York as an Elite tip (together with the Cesarewitch)
but it fits Placespotter very well so here goes. A strange trend at York yesterday
where the straight races were still angled to low draws as they have been all summer
but round Course races suited higher numbers. That tells me there is decent
ground down the centre so to look at a low/middle bias in this Sprint.
The favourite CAPTAIN COLBY will take all the beating but is little value and
drawn 1 on the flank may be unsighted to something to its right hand side;
in Stall 6 GET KNOTTED has an outstanding form chance and runs this track
very well and this trip looks ideal for its proven stamina at the end of a flat
out race. HOOFALONG is far more "conspiratorial" but has decent form
figures if closely analysed. The "conspiracy" angle is how many times Nathan
Evans has been slow in removing the hood in the stalls and seen the horse
finish very well from tardy starts. Now Mick Easterby is a crafty old (insert
swear word of your choice) and as a result the horse runs off a very nice mark
and the jockey today has both a great record on the horse and it seems
no trouble in ripping off the blind properly....inspired or me being silly - we
shall see - but the form stacks up with or without the conspiracy theory!
