Uttoxeter 12.00

Uttoxeter 12.00 8 Filatore - each way @ 25/1 (BV + PP)

This is one of only a few competitive NH Handicaps today and the striking aspect having studied every horse
in the race is the fact that most of the market leaders are better over shorter and tend to like to "get on with it". They may be more
restrained today but my hunch is that Yasir (no value off this mark); Georgieshore (has run well here but best runs at 2 miles here);
and Tara Well (tends to race prominently and fade, but does have 3 mile P2P form) will ensure a decent pace and all fade at the
death, it I had to find one of those to win from the front in this Going it would be TARA WELL and if you want a place saver at 4/1;
please do so. I think Sunday Central is a big danger, but logic says it will improve for the run and Western Sunrise, takes a drop

in Class but probably needs to and is another who likes to be dictating things up front, and may get sucked in to a battle too soon.

I therefore decided to find a horse who does not tend to run prominently, who has form on the Going and at the trip and beyond,
the kind of horse who if I was the Trainer in this race would be saying "hunt round as they should come back to you in the closing
half mile"; I think that horse (one of my "left field ones") is FILATORE. The 25/1 reflects two poor runs (needed) this term but the Yard
is one of the cannier ones, and can spring one. I a taken by wins at 2m 6f and 2m 7f at Chepstow and Ffos Llas and winning Flat
form at 2m 4f all in heavy/soft conditions. The booking of a decent 7lbs Claimer adds some spark to my hopes and at 1/4 point
each way, I just have a hunch about this, as frankly, they could easily wait for meetings far closer to home next week!. It may
pull up outpaced before the stamina kicks in, if it does I will want to be on "next time" but this is a race they could have a touch in!
