Market Rasen 1.15 - Novice Handicap Chase - Class 5 - 2 miles 5 and 1/2 furlongs - 11 run - Soft
Camino Rocio is near odds on so no win value and although he should win this his main rival in the early markets Grass's Jet is likely to be backed in too from an early 5/1 and apart from a small reverse f/cast, I can't see any win or each way value for either.
Something has to finish 3rd so let's look at some bigger priced options.
Goguenard has won over Hurdles and has won fresh first time out but I'm not sure it's a Chaser in the making. Sadlers Bay showed some promise last season and will possibly win races this season so I have added to my TRACKER as 308 days may just be a pointer it'll need this run.
I think the best e/w value may be SOME BRO who has had a run already and whose Irish P2P form suggests some promise and some collateral Irish handicap checks suggests a mark of 78 could well underestimate his eventual ceiling which I'd predict to be around the 90 mark
Market Rasen 3.00 Handicap Chase 3 miles - Class 5 - 10 run - Soft
Both the market leaders look solid here, Pats Dream especially and Coolmoyne, so on this occasion I will personally have a small reverse F/Cast.
Sir Rock has had 2 runs already so no fitness excuses but he seems more suited to the turns of Fontwell and Plumpton. Onenightintown is intriguing as it has some form on the ground, has been staying on over shorter distances and had there been some enhanced places widely available he'd have been a second tip. One to TRACK too.
My each way banker here though is DUKE OF MONROVIA who was Pulled Up on Chase debut but i think that was more down to race fitness and not wanting to be overly exerted than any jumping issues. They go back for Cheek-Pieces and like many in the Yard this one was bought with Chasing in mind. Sam T-D is also likely to give it a kind ride and every chance of placing at least
