The Mentions explanations from Michael-:

Pontefract 4.10 JO's GIRL - when I looked at this race I started with CANDALISA; I think it will make them all go from Stall 1; but when it is soft here they tend to run wider out of the turn, in Sprint they come right over to the Stands Rail, can't discount that here but more likely the winner will come over the top, down the middle. The others who look to have decent chances were Edgar Allen Po (might be in handicappers grip now); Gabriels Kaka (all form on better Going) and Newmarket Warrior (very consistent but another on a high mark) so I will have a bash with the unexposed form of JO'S GIRL.  JO'S GIRL is very lightly raced, has winning form under these conditions, a nice handicap mark and will have needed recent warm up race. Clearly she is fragile in some way, but with a lot of these probably fatigued, stands out as one who is fresh and suited by conditions.

Windsor 4.00 SECRET RETURN and KINGSTON KURRAJONG - A few caught my eye here but not on soft Going and Sir Plato; Letsbe Avenue; and Ginbar; are all on potentially nice marks still; but could probably have done without the downpour on Saturday. SECRET RETURN likes to race prominently, can pull but also can battle and the drop in trip looks ideal. It could set it up though for a "closer" and none better here at that and on soft Going than KINGSTON KURRAJONG who drops in Class based on turf form and looks on a very nice turf mark with a possibly decent draw.

Windsor 5.05 TIME MEDICEAN and WHITECREST a type of race you'd normally avoid as unproven and inexperienced apprentices, but with the likely conditions, the 2 old-timers, both of who have form on soft, both very "kind and gentle types" suited to this type of race: and both with decent Course form, look likely to give us a run for our money with probably two of the better jockeys in the saddle.
