Three maximum field races of 16 runners to close the Card at Nottingham, the Going is Good, I'd expect it to be neither firm nor soft, so ideal Autumn Flat ground and no excuses.

In the 4.00 over a mile and half a furlong, I narrowed my list from the 16 down to 4 or 5 and I think He's Our Star and Roman De Brut are the biggest dangers to the 2 selections in the race whilst Soldiers Boy is a danger too. HARLEQUIN STRIKER won this race last year; Trainer Dean Ivory won for me yesterday and his horse look like they are just coming in to form, I also like FIRE TREE who is best at this trip, was very competitive off marks in the mid 70's last season, and in a pretty quiet campaign has run over unsuitable trips and seen its mark drop to 67, from a nice draw it can run very well.

In the 4.30 over 10 Furlongs all of the Course and pace angles, including the draw and Jockey booking point to a big run from MICHELE STROGNOFF; it also drops in to Grade 4 and is fancied over Lunar Jet and Shabbah who I would rate the biggest dangers. Also lurking though is TOMAHAWK KID whose best form always seems to be in the Autumn; as a result of another carefully plotted campaign, it arrives here off an excellent Handicap mark.

Finally in the 5.00, I can see Misu Pete leading them for a long way in to this race, I might be tempted to have a few bob on it each way before the race IF all races prior have been won from the front (an angle to watch closely) but my 2 against the field would both be unexposed horses who may benefit from the trip on visual evidence of earlier runs and breeding, CRIMSON SKIES is the more obvious chance at this trip and off its mark here but I have been closely tracking and waiting for STAR OF ATHENA to run in a handicap upped in trip, as breeding indicates it could improve a lot for it, and we will see today.

The only jumper I really considered was Sue Smiths ITS BUSTER in the 4.20 at Southwell but for tips, we will stay at Nottingham for today.
