A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all.

We finished 2020 with more frustration in Ireland as another unexposed Mullins horse won, if you had the bit of shrapnel suggested when it was about 16/1, well done but it wasn't a tip or tracker and should have been. A host finished in a heap in behind and at decent Odds Chosen Hour was a shade unlucky not to get some each way returns and one to keep an eye on as it is a horse with scope to improve in the Grade.

If you can't find the winner in your first tip race as a full time member of the SP2A Tipping panel, then I guess 2nd and 3rd is the next best thing and at the prices and staking plan delivered a small each way profit and both Curozon Espinado and especially Fighting Temeraire at a bigger price ran well enough for you to see that this AW expert has scope to deliver us some nice profit, as and when he is called upon.

With frost an issue today and a few Inspections planned and a forecast suggesting that kind of weather scenario for 7-10 days, we may be returning to the AW, especially at Lingfield and Kempton and possibly Wolverhampton a fair bit. It's unusually frosty right by the Sea here in Torbay (we're about 100 yards away from sea) and that doesn't bode well for Exeter up on the top of Haldon Hill in the forest....fingers crossed and they have gone to great lengths. Concern even if on is how crusty the ground may be underneath and it needs the sun to come out, and that's an equally big issue there lately with chunks of fences omitted to low sun, so we'll reluctantly swerve and go to Scotland where Musselburgh is ON.

Nothing to note in Ireland where perhaps MCALPINE in the 12.52 at Tramore is the one on the card worth a small e/w investment. No interest in Southwell at all.
