Friday 23rd October

A couple more placed horses yesterday but no winner to celebrate, not a bad day but we move on to the day of the first Cheltenham Meeting of the 2020/2021 season.

It seems an eternity since the 5 days of the March Festival, and the debate about the fact Crowds were allowed at that Meeting rage on.

We have always seen Friday;s when there are 2 day Meetings including the next day as something of a "pointer" for the Saturday and that's certainly going to be the case at a very deep and heavy Newbury and a possibly increasingly wet Doncaster, so we will look more closely at both Courses tomorrow.

The Cheltenham Card today has some excellent early season action, the key word is "early" and whilst some will dive in and try to go through the Card, we'll have a long hard look at one race, and clearly the 20 runner Handicap Hurdle at 3.00pm offers good prices, an open field, enhanced place Odds and we think a very topsy turvy market
