Friday 3rd December

LOVELY MOON was a very impressive winner for us at Clonmel yesterday, romping clear and clearly was excellent value at the early 13/2 (there were bits of 7/1 very early after mail went out), winning at 4/1. With Rebelle Chaud placing 4th (industry standard to 4th) at 9/1 a nice return for Sean.

We were let down again by a Bowen horse at Market Rasen with No Quarter Asked running poorly although some recompense if you backed the shrapnel horse Muroor who finished runner up in fortuitous style, although it would have placed third if the clear leader hadn't fallen, and we'll take 22/1 places all day every day.

Some decent races at Sandown but again disappointing fields, good Card and fields at Sedgefield and a pointer or two from our Norther expert there at the end of the e-mail but main focus is on the big field marathon Chase at Exeter at 3.15. Some very interesting Novice Hurdles too on that Card but they look better watched than invested in and will no doubt throw up some very nice types. There is a chance of significant rain early afternoon in Devon, so we've factored that in and will focus on the main race.
