Friday 7th January

A win yesterday for Mrs Watson at 14/1, a shame it was only a shrapnel bet (would have been higher staked if we'd have been sure it would run having had a tough race just a few days before) but that sums up the trend of the past few weeks when tips have been poor but the analysis has thrown up a number of big priced winners and the problem more interpretation of analysis than any fundamental flaws in the reading of the form. That's occurred before in the past 11 years and can often be the precursor to a golden spell, so hopefully those signs will bear fruit.

It was also frustrating to see Straight Swap, who was third on a short list of 3 romp home at Chepstow and a few have asked why Bitview Colin was not included in the Trackers (one we've tipped a few times which came in at 22/1).  In fact that had become something of a "cliff horse" for Sean and was dropped markedly in trip and the aim of the TRackers are not to include every former tip, but those we feel have races in them.

There is just the one NH Fixture today, Wetherby, small fields and we can't find anything of market value with some close competitive racing likely at shortish prices with most races likely to end up paying place odds only to 2nd place. There are poor fields in terms of the usual AW field sizes too at Lingfield and Wolverhampton and not much to point out at Dundalk.
