We were a shade unlucky not to pick up a nice profit yesterday, instead of a small one as ON THE ROAD just missed out at Chepstow in a thrilling finish. The omission of the final fence, the fact that our horse just had to readjust slightly to navigate between that omitted fence and the final hurdle and the clear head on evidence that the winner veered and took On The Road markedly over to the Stands rail all possibly mitigating factors. However, a cracking race and a place instead of a win.
