Saturday 21st May

A decent run by Hellenista at Catterick last night to be runner up at 8/1 and an equally decent run at Worcester from Caspers Court to be third also at 8/1. The frustrating fact was that ift Of Raaj, the clearly identified reserve following some good analysis won the Catterick race at 28/1 and Gold Leader, narrowly missing an investment at Worcester but well identified in the analysis, was runner up at Worcester at 18/1.

The results ARE paramount and most important of course, but the analysis as Ian will always say, shows a way into the Tipster mind and logic and if you get the analysis and logic in a good place, the results will follow. Fine margins of course and the bottom line we know is that we are judged by the vast majority on the actual results and not near misses.

It's a very tough looking set of Cards today at Goodwood ; Haydock and York, throw in The Curragh and also Lingfield and Musselburgh plus jumping at Stratford and it could be one of those days where it would be easy to lose a lot of points in one big dollop.  So we'll invest a total of 5 points today on the races with decent but not massive field sizes.

We'll focus on 2 races at Haydock where there is the greatest Tipping confidence. We'll also have a dabble at re-creating what we used to call the 5 Star Flutter, a couple of picks against the field in 5 TV races in a Lucky 31 type each way perm which most online Bookies facilitate. That's at the bottom with a couple of other TRackers.
