Saturday 27th March

After a day off yesterday we return refreshed and with David taking on The Lincoln Handicap at Doncaster and Sean a lesser quality but nonetheless Handicap at Navan, the 2021 Turf season is now underway for us on both sides of The Irish Sea. It's probably obvious, but needs pointing out I think, early Flat season, plenty of time for form to develop and Trainer / Jockey / Draw / Going indications to emerge, so we'll tread carefully in search of value.

We will also have a look at a decent Class 2 Handicap Hurdle at Kelso and the Veterans Chase at Newbury.

Let's start with the big race of the day, the first big Flat race of the UK Turf season and let's be honest the only proper horse racing is on grass, for all its bumps, hollows, divots, cambers, it's what makes the Sport great after all!
