Saturday 2nd January

A disappointing start to 2021, Oscar Ceremony was a shade unlucky, beaten on a "head bob" having had anything but a clear passage in the race, Red Risk was given an awful ride I thought, trying to take on a far more experienced horse up front and being blown away as a result, and whilst A LADIES MILAN ran well to place the winner (Bullion Boss) is clearly not a flukey winner last time ex 7 furlong Flat horse and ran well to win for an astute Yard who have clearly found a way to explore new avenues over 3 miles.

Small fields sadly dominate today on the bulk of the Sandown and Ayr Cards.

The stand out race is the VETERANS CHASE Final at Sandown which gets the Elite Service treatment with David looking to follow up a 20/1 winner which after postponement of the Welsh National last week seems an age ago now. We'll also dip in to the AW again at Lingfield with a tip / analysis of the opening race on the Card at 11.30am.

Please Note - AW tips via e-mail only (not in Members Paddock)
