Saturday 7th May

We started the day at Chester yesterday with another nice winner with Red Mirage advised at 10/1 winning at 6/1 just hanging on for the win with a very accurate piece of analysis again by our Northern expert. We hit the crossbar with Rajinsky in the big race placing third and Heart Of Soul was an enhanced 5th. Unfortunately disappointment again in Ireland and after a poor run recently Sean will take a break for a few weeks and Ian will pick up anything in Ireland that floats our boat, but Sean will be back for all of the big June and July Meetings in Ireland and the UK suitably refreshed.

A winner each day at Chester and some cracking analysis from our Northern Expert bodes well for big Fixtures ahead up North!

There is plenty of good action today across both codes on both sides of the Irish Sea but we'll focus on a good long distance handicap Hurdle at Haydock plus a couple of typically competitive big field Handicaps at Ascot, where we think we learnt a fair bit yesterday about the Going and any draw bia, or lack of it, as it appeared that pace was a bigger factor than draw on the straight track yesterday.
