Sunday 21st February
Whilst the punting day included a nice 10/1 winner and 3 nice placed horses for the Daily Tipsters, the sad demise of L'Ami Surge put a cloud on the day that will live longest in the memory. Thoughts will all those connected with an excellent and brave horse.
On a brighter note, the win and analysis of Captain Chaos, not really fancied of picked up much elsewhere at 10/1 was the result of a brave ride and a courageous horse whose form last time had been under-rated or ignored by many. Saint Dalina was an excellent third at 14/1 although the tip in that race ran an inexplicably bad race for one so highly regarded at home, Redford Road ran an enhanced place in 4th, with several bookies as we pointed out paying out at an SP odf 10/1 with Potters Hedger just missing a place in that race too, whilst Flowing Cadenza also placed as a tip at 17/2, and but for a few very poor jumps may have finished much closer. He looks like a nailed on future winner and one we will follow.
A day when the Trackers worked a treat, backing up the philosophy that however disappointing some individual tipping days may be in the context of that day in time, that by tracking, there can be "other days" when a horse you follow wins and ensures a net profit. The very wise old sage Phil Bull famously said, words to the effect, that if you back a horse 5 times and it loses 4 but wins one at 10/1 you have made a nice net profit and if you multiplied that to every horse you backed, you'd be very rich.
There is some excellent Racing again today and with Robin and Ian in some kind of decent form and Sean also amongst the winners recently, we will focus on their thoughts and analysis today
