Thursday 17th June - Royal Ascot - Day 3

Three of David's four selections placed in the first 7 home in The Royal Hunt cup yesterday, no mean feat in a 30 runner race here; so really depends on which Bookies you used as to how the race panned out for you, everyone should have been of Lafayette, most hopefully on Grove Ferry and a few on Brunch.

Not for the first time in this race we saw the supposed "draw bias" thrown out of the window by a horse coming down the far rail and setting the fractions. It can be quite funny to listen to the TV experts spend 30 minutes telling everyone you have to be drawn high, and then see something buck the trend. Interesting that as soon as the jockeys stopped following each other like sheep going for the Stands Rail, the next race was won from Stall 1 far side too.

A probability of some rain today, a lot less than likely tomorrow and Saturday could be run on soft, but with the big all-aged Handicap being last on the Card and too many concerns about picking Going correctly in the 2 and 3 year Old heats and Gold Cup prior to that lets have a bash at the 29 runner Handicap that closes Day 3
