Thursday 23rd June

Good Morning;

A disappointing day yesterday at Carlisle for us as some quietly confidently tipped horses failed to shine.

In the Carlisle Bell Arranmore pulled too hard in a race where the Good to Firm ground generated a breakneck pace and possibly the one to track forwards as a result is Global Spirit whose draw didn;t help but who showed its turn may be ready. In the Cumberland Plate Croeso Cymraeg finished 5th just 1 and a 1/2 lengths down after meeting trouble in running at a key stage and is definitely one we will be Tracking forwards whilst the othe repair we featured were quite simply run off their feet.

The Fixtures today are mainly very small fields with only around 4 turf races with double figure fields on baked Going. There are significant rain storms coming in over the next 36 hours and that will hopefully freshen the ground up. There is AW tonight at Newcastle and the famous old Northumberland PLate (The Miners Derby) Fixture tomorrow and Saturday and our northern Expert will very much focus on that on Friday (tomorrow) and Saturday. There is also a Fixture at The Curragh that we are looking at closely for Saturday IF the weather dictates small field sizes elsewhere again.

So with nothing really significant today (other than 1 in the Tracker below) we'll abstain and start to focus early on tomorrow and the weekend.

TRACKER

Leicester 7.45 Katies Kitten (tracked a while back eased mark and this looks a more suitable race)
