Thursday 24th September

A classic example of how the ebbs and flows of luck can impact on Racing, especially National Hunt over at Listowel yesterday. Spyglass Hill is basically a relentless one pace galloper who was just taking closer order and running in to the leading group when badly hampered by a melee at the 10th fence, involving another selection (Internal Transfer who fell); so all chance pretty much wiped out as Spyglass Hill never regained momentum (reported by Rachel Blackmore) and was wisely pulled up 3 fences out. The horse will definitely find another race I feel, the softening ground was ideal, and Sean is pretty certain based on running style that Spyglass Hill would have gone very close. Some you win, some you lose, that's Racing.

Those who followed the advice to read to the very bottom of the message, will hopefully have had a bit of change on Orioninverness, 20/1 most of the morning who won the corresponding 5.20 race at Perth for the 3rd year in a row, some Training performance that, could we see a 4th in 2021??., there is nothing like forward planning!

On to today and there are medium size fields at best just about everywhere with nothing of note above 9-10 runners. So, with Listowel due to inspect at 7.30am we will keep fingers crossed the Meeting is on and have a bash at the 3.55 Handicap over 12 Furlongs.
