Tuesday 13th October

There is NH Racing today at Hereford and Huntingdon. Those would usually generate some tips in competitive Races. There are some nice competitive fields at both but a close look at both Cards suggests it's a day likely to be dominated by the top of the market. One key consideration in this is the Good to Firm Going at Hereford and the Good Going at Huntingdon. Both Tracks tend to suit prominent runners (especially Huntingdon) and it's likely that those who may need some genuine cut in the ground could be run off their feet quite early in races.
No appetite at this stage for AW Racing, that will change once the Flat Turf finishes. There are decent Cards in Ireland and SEAN is keen to have a punt in a big field, if somewhat moderate Grade, Handicap Hurdle at Punchestown, where enhanced place Odds suggest some each way value.
I think in future on days like yesterday when frankly there was nothing to entice as a Tip or Tracker, we will abstain completely rather than try to find things (even at very small stakes) that simply aren't there!.
