Tuesday 19th January

A placed run from Seangoell at Punchestown yesterday who faded late on after running with promise. With Nicoles Milan a non runner, a number of mails asking why we had not tipped/backed the winner Glenabo Bridge who we had tipped last twice at the back end of December (29th and 12th if you want to look back) finishing 4th both times. Sean confirmed that he didn't think the trip in heavy Going would suit, some rain probably made the Going softer and less sticky. One that got away but after the winner and the circumstances the day before, maybe luck getting it's own back. An enhanced place at Ayr where Wind Of Hope and Final Fling ran OK to a point but frankly disappointing in the conditions.

NH at Fakenham today where heavy rain and generally small fields (a few with 8 runners that could quite easily become 6-7 runner affairs and less e/w value) puts us off, nothing specific at Clonmel from Sean, so we'll have a look at a moderate Exeter Card where after sustained rain in the area yesterday and some more today, conditions should be testing. It looks like a Card that could be dominated by market leaders but Robin has a few at big odds he doesn't want to leave untouched.....some reduced staking that some we know don't like or appreciate but if you read the context of the analysis, hopefully the logic at least will make some sense.
