Tuesday 29th December

A nice win and place for Ian at Catterick yesterday with SIGURD appreciating optimum conditions and Smugglers Stash staying on to grad an enhanced place at decent Odds. Both were long term Tracker horses getting ideal conditions off nice marks as the analysis explained, if only it was always so easy.

The Bosses Oscar came to win its race at Leopardstown, only to be overhauled by a bit of a Mullins "dark horse" who came over the top in the closing stages. No doubt the Elliott yard isn't firing on all cylinders at the moment and Mullins most definitely is, especially when Paul Townened rides. The intriguing one for Cheltenham and one for your Trackers and possibly an ante-post when non runner no bet arrives in February is the tracker selection, Commander of Fleet, who was given a "very kind ride" shall we say and may have one more similar run no doubt before the big Meeting!

Action at Doncaster, Kelso and Newbury today as well as Limerick and Leopardstown. A lot of 7-9 runner races at the UK venues where markets are very compacted. David has decided that The Mandarin Chase at Newbury at 2.40 is worthy of ELITE scrutiny, and has been chomping at the bit since his 20/1 winner last time out; and Sean takes a look at an Handicap Hurdle at Limerick.
