Tuesday 9th June

We were nowhere near the winner of either chosen race yesterday but one of the great strengths we have seen from Sean since he joined us that has driven his phenomenal ROI% figures is the old SP2A mantra of each way betting at big odds that "if you can't win don't lose" and we saw again yesterday that benefit with placed runners at decent odds.

Having highlighted 4-5 Bookies going odds to 5th in the first race it was probably fated that we'd have the 5th place and the 4th to boot for a small bit of net profit. In the other race a runner up effort and an unplaced meant a small loss but the other strongly touted horse came 3rd.

Overall, no great losses, about level and a lot learned for the weeks ahead over in Ireland.

With Haydock racing again (may be the Kingscote angle has bolted as everything he rides today likely to be backed off the boards) and two AW Fixtures tonight, we will again go over to Ireland and confront 2 big field all aged 1 mile Handicaps at 4.00 and 4.30. We will also keep a very close eye on some excellent looking same age 2 and 3 year old races there today, which may throw up a lot of helpful pointers in due course.

As with yesterday, early days in Ireland so 1/2 point Trackers the order of the day, for those who focus on the 1 point each way Tips, have no fear, the "phoney war" is almost over, pre season warm up almost complete and we will be good to go with full steam by this coming weekend. A bit of rain to take the steam out of the ground, won't harm us either.
