Wednesday 30th December

We had a break even/small net profit kind of day yesterday with Django Django running an enhanced place at Newbury in 5th at 8/1 and Glanabo Bridge and Half Shot finishing 3rd and 4th over at Limerick. David is convinced that Django Django may need further now in time, so one to keep an eye on.

Although it was a day when we gained little, it's important to always not that it's equally important not to lose and in an inconsistent run over the past few months, where we've had a decent scattering of winners and placed horses, it's the days when we've had losers, as opposed to days like yesterday that were "break even" that do just as much negative damage to the betting bank, as the winners bring positivity. That's always been the strategy "if you can't win don't lose" so important to try to increase the ration of days like yesterday, if we can't win and start to ramp up those close places to augment the winners.

There is a decent Card at market Rasen including a regional National. It's a quirky track where form there rarely translates anywhere else and we have to take "Soft" a bit on trust but we'll have a bash at The Lincolnshire National at 2.15. A competitive if moderate Card at Taunton in the mud, with possibility of rain, sleet and even a few flurries of snow, we'll see if we can crack the Long Distance Chase there today. Sean did look at The Veterans Chase at Limerick, several we have been picking and tracking, but a mess of a race and he can't find any confident value, so we'll focus on the UK only today.
