Wednesday 3rd March

A decent enough run for some each way profit from MON LINO yesterday, if you had a bit of shrapnel at enhanced place Odds on Swordsman at 28/1 you will have picked up an extra few bob and Misty Hollow finished 5th, so decent analysis from Sean.

The Elliott storm continues to brew and rumble on, many of his Cheltenham horses moved to other yards, whether permanently or just as a "flag of convenience" for a few weeks who knows?. Clearly not the horse's fault, as for the Owner and for those who have invested in Ante Post, some sympathy. I'm not sure personally though that making this "flag of convenience" move so easy tallies with the gravity of the allegations and evidence. A difficult ethical dilemma that's probably best for individuals own soul searching.

Have to say that some of the "doom , the end is nigh , self induced depression and general clap trap" from some Social Media Commentators, who are actually no more than bloggers about the short medium and long term impact on Horse Racing is way OTT. The Sport will do what it's done for 300+ years, dust itself down, regroup, hopefully act to prevent a repeat and will move on. Knocking chunks out of the sport in general and the 99.99% of decent people in it serves absolutely no purpose. The bottom line is, should Elliott be allowed anywhere near a racehorse again....??

On to Racing today and NH at Wincanton and Musselburgh plus AW at Kempton and Lingfield and with a couple of nice Handicaps on genuine Good to Soft at Wincanton we'll focus on the action there.
