Ffos Llas 4.30

Work Watcher - Ffos Llas 4.30 5 Minella Aris - each way @ 7/1

Back to the "bread and butter" today and in many ways it can be harder to find the winner of an 8 runner race
at places like Ffos Llas and Market Rasen than a 40 runner race at Aintree. The winter NH horses are winding
down and the summer jumpers not quite yet out, the Turf Flat will get going this week and we have the AW
Championships on Friday, so we will be sensible and circumspect, before cranking back up in to full gear
after Easter and in time for the end of the NH season at Ayr and Sandown and then the Classic Flat Trials.

There is racing at Ffos Llas; Market Rasen; Naas and Tramore today and one caught our eye.

The 4.30 at Ffos Llas has a decent field; a 3 mile (almost) Class 3 Handicap Hurdle; a few like
Firebird Flyer are on "recovery missions"; when he won The Midlands National at 16/1 for
us just a year ago who could have foreseen his apparent demise, he will come good I'm sure;
but best watched, for now. The likes of Perform have ability but fragile and Verygoodverygood;
merit consideration, Driftwood Haze may need it softer, so that left us with 3 really likely ones.

Yousaywhat probably needs it softer, it is rarely Good ground at Ffos Llas but may be too soft today;
ROCKYS TREASURE was an emphatic winner last time out, despite running freely, that form has
been franked by the 3rd/4th coming out of that race and winning/placing since but a nagging
doubt about how fresh he may be and could get taken on up front. MINELLA ARIS won a Class
4 at Southwell, then failed upped to Class 2 in a race including some very nice Class 2 horses;
this is slightly easier and the Yard is in fine form and there is each way value at 7/1.

That's the selection for today, back with more tomorrow.
