Monday 15th May

The Card at Wetherby is average in terms of quality but there are some nice competitive field sizes and as with the other
venues, we have watered tracks that will be getting some decent rainfall, so it is likely Going will be softer than advertised.
A close look at the Card at Wetherby has pinpointed some very well handicapped horses, all of whom have had a run or
more this season, and all of whom have decent form on Good to Soft or Soft in fields made up of mostly Good to Firm types.
In order of preference they are-:
Wetherby
2.50 4 Appleberry - nice mark; fit and good on Soft; not great draw but can win form it at about 10/1
4.00 1 Mon Beau Visage - dropped in Class, nice handicap marl form is on Good to Soft at about 7/1
5.35 5 Sakahlin Star - very well handicapped after yard virus last year, all now well and nice return at 13/2
3.25 1 Royal Connoisseur - very nice mark despite top weight, soft is fine and top jockey booked at 12/1
The logical bet is a small unit each way Lucky 15 but Work Watcher (todays tipster) is particularly keen on
APPLEBERRY so suggests a 1/2 point each way single on that horse too.
