York 2.20
WW | York | 2.20 | 3 Edward Lewis 10/1/ + 15 Poyle Vinnie 11/1 | ½ e/w | WH/PP/S 5th |
A few of these will need the run based on past form evidence,
the likes of East Street Revue; Excessable; and Orient Class fit this bill; York does not seem to suit Desert Law; and The Firmer
Going may not suit the in form Sheepscar Lad; Major Jumbo and Line Of Reason. I am most confident about EDWARD LEWIS;
he has a nice draw; runs off a mark just below 100, which is his "comfort zone"; has had recent run form franked and looks good
value with odds to 5th place. I also think that lower down the handicap that POYLE VINNIE is very well handicapped and showed
much better form last time out and off a mark of 86 has no excuses in this Grade, they will be my 2 selections in the race. The others
I will be most interested to track forwards after today are Holmeswood and Copper Knight; both look 4-5 lbs too high in handicap at
the moment but could easily become horses to follow in mid summer with a few runs behind them and lower marks.
