Ascot 2.10

The 2.10 at Ascot is a very competitive 5 furlong Sprint and this Class 2 race is as

you would imagine full of potential winners. One unusual aspect is the number who may be better at 6

furlongs who may therefore need luck in running. Of those I marginally favour DANZENO over Polybius;

both are drawn high, have good Course form and could get a nice tow off Lightscameraction who I think

will try to make all down the stands rail. Of the rest you have to consider Lexington Abbey but I just

wonder if it is quite as good as it was so I prefer ROYAL BIRTH who won this last year; gets what

looks a plum draw and is favoured over old rival Robot Boy whose draw in stall 1 puts me off.

You always hope you get the draw right here as the likes of Yalta and Edward Lewis have only been

discarded on account of a low draw, so lets hope the research in to the high draw bias works out!
