Hot 2 Trot - Ascot 4.15 2 No Duffer @ 5/1 / 4 Forgotten Gold @ 10/1 - both each way

The Veterans Chase at 4.15 over 3 miles features some old favourites, some will love the better
ground here, some have had tougher seasons than others and a couple stand out in terms of

value, here is the full logic.

The likes of Bob Tucker and Shuil Royale have solid chances but the former has had quite
a tough season in terms of races and that may just take a toll, Shuil Royale too has been
busy and is up to a mark of 149, which seems plenty high enough. We'd like to see a bit
more from Fox Appeal who is well handicapped on old form and the consistent Loose Chips

is sure to be prominent but still has to totally convince on left handed tracks.

The 2 that catch the eye are from Tom George's yard, both NO DUFFER and
FORGOTTEN GOLD are fresh horses  with few seasonal runs, both love this kind
of ground. NO DUFFER is still progressive, probably due to a light career in terms
of runs and FORGOTTEN GOLD won this last year by 8 lengths, the Trainers son
rides and claims 7 of the extra 10lbs in weight since last year and is competent enough

in the saddle, if the horse is in similar form.

Both look sure to be more than just competitive and at 5/1 and 10/1 respectively look
to be something of an each way banker and a decent each way poke in that order.
