Hot 2 Trot - Cheltenham 5.05 6 Velator - each way at 14/1 (generally) BOG asap odds to 4th

The 5.05 at Cheltenham sees the amateurs take on a real stamina test, what are we
looking for, proven stamina, fitness, Course form; trainer form and in this type of race
the undeniable fact that a couple of the riders are as good as, if not better than
most professional  jockeys, whilst a few are very keen and enthusiastic but amateurs!
Cecil Corbett will go off favourite, I'd predict 7/2 or shorter and who'd bet against
Gordon Elliott and Jamie Codd, likely winner, yes, certain winner, don't think so;
especially when Elliott has voiced concerns in the past about the horses stamina
at this trip on flatter tracks than this. The profile of the race is likely to see the likes
of Troika Steps and Conas Taoi going off pretty fast from the front, that means
they could be hard to peg back, but both have a tendency to be caught in the
final few furlongs, of the pair I'd expect the latter to last the longest, so we are
looking for a proven stayer, who is fit, who has run well here and with a decent
jockey to pitch against the favourite. Velator ticks every box and is 14/1 generally
at 8.30am although Paddy Power go only 8/1 - BOG double figures asap as
odds to 4th place and he is preferred over On The Bridge and Regal Flow.
