Doncaster 2.25

Doncaster 2.25 4 Lord Of The Rock - @ 20/1 (1/4 point each way - PP + SkyBet odds to 5th all others to 4th)

I was toying with Donncha in The Lincoln but when Ian told me Elite Service were doing that race I turned my gaze
on to The Spring Mile, I do think DONNCHA and BALLARD DOWN have big chances in The Lincoln but the analysis I did on
DONNCHA led me directly to LORD OF THE ROCK in this race. The horse is very inconsistent but the one stream of consistency
it has always had is that it can run well fresh, indeed its best run ever was here 2 years ago and the "inconsistency" comes
from regressive form after the season progresses or after a good run back from a break. It has moved from Michael Dods to
Jedd O'Keefe, O'Keefe is a man on an upward trajectory over Jumps and on the Flat and one I always think is capabale with
the right horse, as we have seen all winter with Sam Spinner. The draw in Stall 5 can't be viewed as a negative, although
HIGH is seen as preferable LOW can and has delivered winners and places and with the under-rated Paul Mulrenan in the
saddle; the current 20/1 looks excellent value, for this long shot and somewhat unnoticed dark horse.
