Goodwood 3.10

GOODWOOD 3.10 4 Wolf Hunter - 1 point each way @ 10/1 (is 15/2 with PP and that may be about right but 4-5 major Bookies 10/1 early - careful with fragile Sunday markets)

I was going to declare a "No Tip" day today with smallish fields and drying Ground firming up at Goodwood and Nottingham until I had both VALUEMAN and also an SP2A Member; who is a very respected professional Horse Racing Journalist; offer a strong suggestion, one based on form and the other on something more informational, about the same horse. We will tip it on the form angle from VALUEMAN; but if the information kindly passed on by Steve is right (thanks Steve much appreciated); then I'm sure we will all thank him too.

The form angle here is the second run at Kempton which may turn out to be a decent race. The selection ran very wide after pulling early (a trait in next run) and made eye catching late progress from near tailed off position. It is out of Sir Prancealot, a sire I like a lot for speedy 2 year old types; and the horse has no had the dreaded "chop" / gelded. That usually calms them down a bit but that early pace; eye catching Kempton run and the straight Course here make the 10/1 early look great value. I have to treat what Steve has said in complete confidence, and always will any such information, but lets just say it adds to the form confidence and on a quiet day, something we can watch with hopefully fulfilled anticipation.
