Ayr 12.45 Handicap Hurdle - Class 5 - 2 miles 4 and 1/2 furlongs - Soft>Heavy 15 run
The obvious and in form pair are Goodtimes Badtimes and Golan Cloud but at this level consistency is never guaranteed so I will pair them in a reverse forecast for a few quid to cover off something more speculative.
There are some possible improvers lurking in here and a few with experience off nice marks / weight and I would definitely be putting a few in my long term low grade Trackers.
I can see a small race in time in Famous Moment and Kinerton Hill; both of whom make seasonal debut today ;and likely to come on for it. I also think there are races in Coral Blue and Moonacura and will keep a watchful eye on both whilst the drop in trip for The Jad Factor is also a logical one and may eek out a bit of improvement too. The other one I fear is African Glory and that just missed an investment for Martin Todhunter.
I certainly think that YOUR PLACE has a great each way chance here for Lucinda Russell. It's had a couple of runs and the yard does leave plenty of condition on their horses who tend to run themselves in to form and fitness. This trip looks ideal as it does for SILK OR SCARLET who has won at the trip and who gets the aid of cheekpieces and a tongue tie to focus it more, hopefully for some profit.
A bit of loose change on the veteran RAINY CITY who ran well to this sort of trip last time and who is dropped in trip as a result and who has an eye catching jockey booking for a canny Scot who may well have got a bit of a plot in mind off a very low mark based on peak performance may not go amiss either!
