Michael - Haydock 1.55 - A competitive 17 runner Class 3 Handicap over 1 mile and easily the best race of its type all day.
The Going is soft and apart from a bit of french form that a couple have it really does sort out those with and without proven ability on the going. Our old friend MIKMAK looks to have a chance but I'd be both worried on anything worse than soft and also worried that may be the target was the race at Thirsk last week. If it is no worse than soft I would have a half stake each way at around 12/1. The horse that ticks every box and another old friend is KINGS PAVILION. A horse with good Course and Distance form, the best of which is in soft to heavy Going and clearly returned to form last time out. Is still on a very nice mark and although a draw in Stall 13 is not ideal they can tend to come wider in to the straight on soft Going here. Looks the most solid each way punt on the Card.
