A cracking race and the pair at the head of the market, Winter Getaway trained by Philip Hobbs and Subway Surf trained by his old and long time adversary Kim Bailey look very dangerous and possibly progressive horses.

 

However, I fancy a couple worthy of a tip and also like the longer term look of a couple for your Trackers (non investment today).

 

LEGENDS GOLD is a Course winner for Rebecca Curtis, a 3 mile P2P winner who should find these conditions and trip ideal and although a shade more exposed than the two market leaders still capable of progression and more proven form at trip and at the track. COLTITE ELLE is another with some nice proven form for Dr Newland. If we forgive the poor run last time at Kempton for which the trainer could offer no explanation other than the mare may just have had an off day, and focus on previous form including a win at Ascot off a mark of 113 in soft Going, then the horse would seem to be relatively well handicapped off a mark of 117 with a 7 lbs Claimer who regularly rides and won on the horse. But for that last run you'd think the horse would be favourite here and I think the price is very generous.

 

At bigger odds a couple to follow on next runs are -: Whos The Boss who was a runner up in a 3 miles P2P and whose first run at this trip under Rules this is. This is a hot midweek race but could be a horse to keep a very close eye on. The other one to note after today (hopefully), is Ziggy Rose who could benefit if the race is run at a strong pace, may actually need further on a tougher track and may be in a bit deep here, but I will watch and learn as may be 3 miles 2 furlongs right handed on soft in Class 4 could be around the corner, so track it onwards.

Tracker - in the 3.50 at Market Rasen Cavalry Scout and Madeira Mist both look very strong and formidable but there may be some each way value on the day in MIDNIGHT MUSTARD who has Course and Course and Distance wins to its name off marks of 75 and 78 and who has had 3 runs to get fit and could be each way value and a danger off 74 with a 5lbs Claim.
