Michael Sandown 1.50- this is a "burn up" by NH standards, 2 miles on Good to Firm Going and a few have been on the go for a long while. Paul Nicholls has deservedly won the Trainers Title again, like Sir Alex Ferguson did at manchester United, Nicholls has an ability to "reinvent" in cycles as one era grows old and another is created. His past nemesis Nicky Henderson looks to be in a decline mode now with his string, and the new danger could be the former apprentice Nick Skelton. Both go 2 handed at the higher end of the market here and a fly in the ointment could be Bennys Bridge, but I just feel that one could feel the exertions of some big races today.
GETAWAY TRUMP is a logical 1 point win saver to cover 2 bigger priced pokes, top weight by a considerable margin and highly touted, if he wins this he will have a summer in the fields with some pretty lofty targets going in to the PFN brainbox. His stablemate BIRDS OF PREY looks a progressive horse and gets a handy 5 lbs reduction with Lorcan Williams in the saddle, the ground and pace could suit and I expect a place at least at big Odds.
Of the Skelton pair Harry picks HUMBLE HERO and the soon to be Mrs Skelton (Bridget Andrews) gets on FLASH THE STEEL who makes the tracker, I think HUMBLE HERO is the one that Getaway Trump has to beat and there is pretty obvious Tricast Perm material in the 5 named of which the one I'd leave out most easiest is Bennys Bridge.
