Beverley 4.15

Beverley 4.15 - Handicap - Class 6 - 1 mile 2 furlongs - Good to Firm - 12 run

A very competitive race where the market leaders Iron Sheriff and Kingson both have undeniable claims but not a race to be taking much under 4/1 against the field I suggest. Iron Sheriff had trouble in running last time but has some mixed Course form and Kingson who has Course and Distance winning form off a mark of 56, and placed form off 59, again runs off a mark of 59.

Of the remainder, I think that Listen Again for Tim Easterby could improve for 10 furlongs in terms of its pedigree but the visual form evidence of runs over a mile suggest differently and draw widest it may have to use up early energy, so one to watch with interest. Possible Ambition is a danger horse too at a decent price, I just don't think rattling Good to Firm is the best Going for the horse though and would prefer a bit more cut in the ground.

The pair I most like are BIT OF A QUEST who is drawn in Stall 6 . A Course and Distance winner, likes this ground, runs very prominently usually and that style of running on Good to Firm with some not fully extending and letting themselves down and also possible scrummaging and hard luck stories in behind, may just unlock a win at nice Odds. The horse runs off a mark just 1lb above its last win mark.

It may also be worth a small investment in VIOLETTE SZABO who although drawn in the higher numbers has some good Course and Distance form. A win off a mark of 46 and placed off 49 and 50 and a handy 3 lbs Claimer off a mark of 49 gives it a very sporting chance with conditions to suit.
